it's all happening so fast.

my life is a speeding train and I'm not sure where it's headed.

one thing is certain, i've been given a second chance, touched by the world and i've got to believe that it has a purpose for me.

so why am i filled with self-doubt?

plagued by demons, real and imaginary?

frightened by the challenges ahead, and haunted by the ghosts of my past?

does the world know what i am?

do I?

am I monster?

A hero, or a villain?

and why can't I see the difference?

everyone has problems, flaws, and blind spots, just as i do.

when we entertain the illusion that someone is perfect, we don't allow them room to be human, so when they make an error in judgment or act in contradiction to our idea of perfection, we become disillusioned.

we may get angry or distance ourselves in response.
in the end, they are not to blame for the fact that we idealized them.

granted, they may have enjoyed seeing themselves as perfect through our eyes, but we are the ones who chose to believe an illusion.

if you go through this process enough times, you learn that no one is perfect. we are all a combination of divine and human qualities and we all struggle.

when we treat the people we love with this awareness, we actually allow for a much greater intimacy than when we held them aloft on an airy throne.

the moment you see through your idealized projection is the moment you begin to see your loved one as he or she truly is.

we cannot truly connect with a person when we idealize them. in life, there are no pedestals—we are all walking on the same ground together.

when we realize this, we can own our own divinity and our humanity.

this is the key to balance and wholeness within ourselves and our relationships.

don't let others stop you from living.

you're right.

people do lie, and cheat, and stab you in the back.

there will be people who use you, and don't love you even though they say they do.

but you can't let that stop you from living.

because there are people out there who do love you, and would never hurt you.

you have to find those people and keep them in your life forever.

some people will do you wrong in life.

people will say things about you that you never think they will, people will lie on you, people will cheat you, and people will purposely hurt you to try and make their selves feel better.

there will be people in your life that you thought would be with you until the end, but they will fall out of your life.

there will be people in your life that say they love you, until it is convenient for them not to love you anymore.

never let bad people stop you from living life.

for all the friends that leave your side and betray you, there will be those who will be there for you no matter what, and that do really love you.

though at times they may disappoint you because we are all human, you will know that they have the best of intentions.

find those people, and work hard to keep those people in your life forever.

money

money is not the only answer, but it makes a difference.

it lets you “slide” through life instead of having to “scrape” by.

money brings freedom—freedom to buy what you want , and freedom to do what you want with your time.

money allows you to enjoy the finer things in life as well as giving you the opportunity to help others have the necessities.

most of all, having money allows you not to have to spend your energy worrying about not having money.

it is also very important to be humble and never let fame or money travel to your head.

attitude

the longer i live, the more i realize the impact of attitude on life.

attitude, to me, is more important than facts.

it is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.

it is more important than appearance, or skill.

it will make or break a company... a church... a home.

the remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

we cannot change our past...

we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.

we cannot change the inevitable.

the only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...

i am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how i react to it.

and so it is with you...

we are in charge of our attitudes.

change

when we embrace what lies within, our potential has no limit.


whe future is filled with promise, the present rife with expectation.


but when we deny our instinct, and struggle against our deepest urges, uncertainty begins.


where does this path lead?


when will the changes end?


is this transformation a gift, or a curse?
